What we can help with
- Corrections. If an IRMAA tier, federal bracket, NIIT threshold, standard deduction, or state figure looks out of date or wrong, let us know — a link to the IRS or CMS source helps us fix it fast.
- How the tool works. Questions about the method, the cliff chart, the year-by-year plan, or what an input means.
- Sources. We're happy to point you to the primary document behind any number the calculator shows.
- Bug reports and accessibility issues. Something not rendering, printing, or working with a screen reader? Send details.
What we can't help with
- Personalized tax or investment advice. We can't tell you how much you should convert, review your specific return, or weigh in on your individual situation. That's what a qualified CPA or fee-only fiduciary advisor is for.
- Account, custodian, or IRS matters. We're not affiliated with the IRS, CMS, the SSA, or any financial institution and can't access, change, or look up your accounts or filings.
- Filing or executing a conversion. The tool estimates; it doesn't file anything or move money.
Before you write about a number
Federal brackets and IRMAA tiers change every year, and the ACA subsidy rules are legislatively volatile. If a figure looks off, check the date on the source first — see our about page for exactly which IRS and CMS publications each number comes from, and our privacy page for what we do and don't collect.
